This is my Itty Bitty World. My name is Elizabeth Lorrine Gene Ricketts and I will be 1 year old in Jan. I have many adoring fans so I have to have a place they can come check me out at.
*laughs* It is called Tegaderm (fake skin). Most use it to put on the face to attach oxygen tubes on the face. She has a skin tag that should have been part of her ear, and it dangles and is attached to her face with a small piece of skin. We are afraid she will pull it off so we just tape it up. Plastics will remove it but we wanted her to get a little bigger. We have to make an appointment soon to do this b/c she is aware of it now and pulls the tegaderm off and puts it in her mouth.
I recently found this site( http://www.jeremiahbourgoin.com/pictures_nov10.php the same day I found the Gwinn site), and the boy in the picture has a plaster like that, too, on practically the same place.
One baby with it I can handle without getting too curious, but if I see two, I just *have* to ask :). I wondered if maybe it was some kind of fashion thing, or a way to tell the world you're part of a certain group or something.
And since asking random strangers is a little odd, I asked you. Also, I always like replying to other people's blog posts.

Amber, what's that thing near her ear? It looks like one of those small, round plasters.
I've seen it on pictures before, and I just can't figure out what it is. It's really bugging me :).
Lovely pictures!

Handy stuff! Though probably not too tasty.
